         When we talk about LatinSaxUk we are talking about Jose, who is a talented musician with more than ten years of experience in live performance and music teaching, but also at least 7 years on music production. Currently, studying BA (Hons) Popular Music & Recording at University of Salford.

      Currently, Jose plays saxophone in the University of Salford’s Big Band directed by Tim France, as well as the Function Band and World Music Ensemble Band of the same university. Jose also conducts and sings in his own project called “Guacamaya Latin Band”, performing world music in festivals all-around UK and touring in South America, Europe and Middle East.  

       He also has been part of a Salsa orchestra and a Latin jazz band as an (Alto) saxophonist and guitarist, playing for function bands and gigging in several concerts, but also opening gigs for bands such as Manu Chao, Cultura Profética, Emir Kusturica, Skatalites among others. As well as playing bass guitar, saxophone and Latin percussion with Tocha Music, gigging at Revolución de Cuba Rum & Cantina in UK, at Marsa Malaz Kempinsky (The Pearl) Doha, Qatar. Additionally, is playing with Homegrown UB40 Tribut Band as (Tenor) Saxophonist, gigging around Uk, Holland and Cyprus.

 

       Besides music performance, Jose has 5 years’ experience as a warehouse and retail market seller in AVCOM company, Caracas, Venezuela. Responsible of an account with clients in 8 different regions of the country, providing solutions for the retail market of audio consumer, designing strategies of brand positioning and representing brands such as Focusrite, Novation, Avid, Genelec, Sennheiser, Neuman, Mackie, VENUE, M-Audio among others. In this company, Jose has study Music Production and Music Business atAcademia Audioplace to enhance his understanding in the industry. Successfully, he achieved the requested outcomes of representing a brand complying with the service policies of each franchise, and also, been part of the best retail of the brand Mackie in 2012.
